Straps
Does your training plan include heavy deadlifts or heavy rowing? Does the weight sometimes slip out of your hand so that you have to stop the exercise even though the actual muscle - the back muscle - is far from exhausted? This is exactly why we have pulling aids.
What are pulling aids?
Anyone who trains with very heavy weights knows the problem - at some point your forearm and grip strength will deteriorate.
The target muscle to be trained would still have enough strength to perform further repetitions, but the exercise has to be stopped to prevent the weights from slipping out of the hand.
This is particularly common with heavy deadlifts, rowing exercises or pull-ups. Pull-up aids were developed precisely for this reason.
Classic pulling aids are made of leather or cotton and have a loop at the end. However, they are also available with steel hooks and made of synthetic fibres such as nylon or neoprene.
What advantages do pulling aids offer during training?
By using pulling aids, the weight can no longer slip out of your hand during all pulling exercises.
By improving grip strength, pulling aids make it possible to perform more repetitions and more weight.
Weights can also easily slip out of the hand due to sweaty hands. This problem can also be solved with pulling aids.
The target muscle can be trained better and for longer due to more repetitions and weight. This effect makes it possible to exert a higher intensity and greater stimulus on the muscle, which in turn can lead to more muscle growth.
Because the forearm and wrist are relieved, this usually automatically leads to a better execution of the exercise.
If you want to train at home, you can use pulling aids to increase the weights, but pulling aids can also be used in the gym and are easy to transport.
Pulling aids are usually very inexpensive to buy.
