What does the Pancake Protein Mix Powder from All Stars contain?
The pancake powder actually contains everything that makes up a classic pancake - milk, egg and flour. However, the focus is much more on a good protein supply, low sugar, fat and therefore calories.
The main ingredients and sources of protein are whey protein concentrate and milk protein in the form of milk and pure hen's egg protein in powder form as a fresh egg substitute. Wholemeal spelt flour has been added as a flour variant, sweetened with sweeteners (maltitol, xylitol). Each 50g portion provides more than 25g of protein in a particularly tasty form, has well under 2g of fat and sugar and, with just under 170 calories, also fits into many a diet programme. In combination with water (50-75ml), stirred in a suitable container using a whisk or hand mixer, the result is a smooth batter. This should be cooked on both sides in a frying pan, preferably coated, with a little oil to create a golden-brown, delicious pancake. The topping can consist of fruit, peanut butter, fruit, chocolate or maple syrup or you can enjoy the pancakes plain.
