The German Hercules - bodybuilding legend Jusup Wilkosz has died
The golden age of bodybuilding has produced some of the most impressive athletes ever to step onto a posing stage. From Sergio Oliva to Arnold Schwarzenegger, from Frank Zane to Franco Columbu, the Golden Age has introduced some of the most famous bodybuilders who continue to inspire generations today.
The German Hercules was born on 8 November 1948 in Heilbronn.
At the age of 16, he started as a weightlifter and later found his passion for bodybuilding.
With his impressive physique, he won a total of 12 titles and was a major figure in the golden era of bodybuilding.
In 1978, he was runner-up in the IFBB World Heavyweight Championships, and in 1979, he won the IFBB World Heavyweight Championships in Columbus, Ohio.
In 1980, victory at the professional world championship and the first athlete to take part in Mr.Olympia in Columbus/Ohio 1981,6.Platz.
But with third place at the 1984 Mr Olympia in New York, Jusup Wilkosz could and must count himself among the most successful athletes.

Jusup Wilkosz is and remains one of the most successful athletes in German bodybuilding history.
The name Jusup Wilkosz is, was and remains the epitome of indestructible, unbelievable and fundamental will, and he has proven it several times.
Finishing third at Mr.Olympia, Jusup is one of the most successful German bodybuilding professionals.
Unfortunately, injuries would lead to the end of Wilkosz's career before he reached his peak potential. Despite his early career end, Jusup Wilkosz performed well throughout his career and is still an inspiration to many today.
Sadly, it has been reported that the bodybuilding veteran has passed away. The news was confirmed by his family, who updated his Instagram with a message to his fans.
