We use a high-quality bamboo shoot extract as our silicon source, which naturally has a high silicon dioxide content and is easily absorbed by the body. The daily serving (2 capsules) contains a total of 714 mg of bamboo shoot extract with 536 mg of natural silicon dioxide, which in turn provides the body with 250 mg of elemental silicon. The SILICON capsules come in a large container containing 240 capsules and, at the recommended daily intake, are sufficient for 120 days or a full 4 months.

Silicon in the Diet - Need vs. Intake

The assessment of daily silicon requirements has not yet been conclusively clarified scientifically and varies depending on the source. Unlike other major minerals and trace elements such as magnesium, calcium, zinc, iron, or selenium, there is currently no officially recommended intake for silicon.
