A beautiful soap on a wooden soap dish gives your bathroom a much more elegant touch than a plastic soap dispenser.

Wood on the washbasin - is that possible?

My soap dishes are made of beautifully crafted olive wood. This is genuine craftsmanship and high-quality material. My soap dish is carved by hand from a single piece of olive wood. Only trees that are no longer bearing fruit are used.

With their modern shape, the soap dishes are ideal for using solid soap or bars of soap. At the same time, the grooves on the surface of the soap dish provide the necessary ventilation so that moisture does not build up on the soap dish and the soap "floats" in the water for an unnecessarily long time. The olive wood used is particularly striking due to its beautiful, warm colour. As a tasteful detail, the wood goes wonderfully with any other bathroom furniture in any colour.

The natural olive wood not only looks beautiful, but also has antibacterial properties. With good care, olive wood can last almost a lifetime.

Cleaning and care

Thoroughly remove soap or soap residue from the wood. Wipe the soap dish with a mild detergent and lukewarm water. Dab dry well with a linen or kitchen towel.

As you are using the wooden soap dish in the bathroom, it is also advisable to rub the soap dish regularly with cooking oil (e.g. linseed oil). The oil is absorbed into the wood and protects it naturally from too much moisture and humidity.

Note on soap dishes

Soaps with certain ingredients may react with the tannic acid naturally contained in olive wood. This is comparable to a cut apple that turns brown when exposed to air. After a short time, the tannic acid is washed out and this phenomenon disappears completely. It does not occur at all with most soaps.
