Flaky - Icelandic sea salt soap with honey
Salt soap with "Flaky Sea Salt", a mineral-fresh sea salt produced using only energy from geothermal hot springs in the north-west of Iceland. This salt production method is based on the old method from the 17th century, which is also practised in Reykjanes. Geothermal energy is the only source of energy used. This means that we leave no CO2 emissions in the environment during our entire process.
My Icelandic Salt Soap contains plenty of sea salt, which nourishes the skin with valuable minerals from the sea. The hand-boiled vegetable oil soap is recommended for sensitive or blemished skin. You can also use the soap as a gentle scrub. Due to its high salt content, the salt soap foams a little less.
Sea salt can not only maintain beautiful skin and help against small spots and annoying blemishes, it also has a medicinal effect. People with neurodermatitis can benefit from regular use. Salt soaps are generally more superfatted. Overfatted means that the fat has not been completely saponified. This means that there is still fat left over from the manufacturing process, which is nourishing.
Salt soaps regulate the moisture and fat balance due to the excess fat and give the skin the opportunity to normalise. Salt purifies the skin and has a positive effect on the metabolism. Due to their high salt content, salt soaps are also well tolerated by very sensitive skin.
When are sea salt soaps often used?
- For increased pimples, acne or skin impurities
- for neurodermatitis

Tips for extending the life of your soap

About me
All my products are handmade by me in very small batches in my studio in St. Gallen. My soap is cold process soap, which means that I make the recipe from scratch with full control over all the ingredients. Each bar of soap matures for 4 to 6 weeks. This ensures that all the water has evaporated and results in a harder soap bar that lasts longer.
